Our role in private jet charter New York

Private Jet Charter New York acts as a charter broker and arranger. When you ask us to find an aircraft, we do that as your agent: we source options from operators, pass along their quotes, and coordinate the details of the trip. We do not own or operate the aircraft you fly on.

The flight itself is provided by an operator holding an FAA Part 135 air carrier certificate. That operator holds operational control of the flight from departure to arrival. Decisions about the crew, the routing, weather, maintenance, fuel stops and whether a flight proceeds belong to the operator, not to us.

Quotes are estimates until confirmed

Prices you see on this site, including the typical hourly ranges by aircraft class and the route examples, are estimates meant to help you compare. They are not offers. A firm price comes only when a specific operator confirms availability in writing for your dates, airports and passenger count.

Several things can move a quote between the first look and the final number. Positioning the aircraft to New York, crew duty limits, hangar space, de-icing in winter, wait time and the airport you choose all play a part. Teterboro sits at 9 feet of elevation, but a July afternoon still produces a density altitude near 1,700 feet, and that affects what some aircraft can carry out of a 6,997-foot runway. Operators price and plan around those conditions, and we would rather tell you that up front than after the fact.

Payment follows the operator's contract

When you accept a quote, the arrangement is governed by the operator's charter agreement. Payment schedules, deposit amounts, accepted methods and due dates are set in that contract. We do not set those terms and cannot override them.

Read the contract before you sign it. It will spell out what happens if you need to change a passenger list, adjust a departure time or add a leg. Changes are often possible, but they usually carry a cost, and the operator's document is where that cost lives.

Cancellation terms come from

Cancellation policies vary widely from one operator to the next and from one aircraft to another. Some refund most of a deposit if you cancel well ahead; others do not, especially once the aircraft has been positioned or crew has been booked. The operator's cancellation clause controls, not anything said in a phone call or email.

We will point out the cancellation terms in a quote so you know what you are agreeing to before money moves. If a trip is weather-sensitive, such as a winter departure from Newark Liberty or a summer run to Nantucket, it is worth asking about the operator's weather policy at the same time.

Taxes and fees on New York departures

Charter prices in the United States are subject to federal excise tax, and the quote you receive will show how it is applied. Segments that begin or end at a New York airport may also carry state and local taxes, plus airport-specific fees such as landing, parking and security charges.

Fuel surcharges, crew overnight costs and international fees, where they apply, are itemized by the operator. When you compare two quotes, compare the totals after tax and fees rather than the hourly rate, because operators structure those lines differently.

Limitation of liability

We arrange flights; we do not fly them. Our responsibility is limited to the brokerage and coordination services we provide. We are not liable for the operator's performance, for delays, diversions, cancellations or mechanical issues, or for events outside our control such as weather, air traffic and airport closures.

Any liability arising from the flight itself rests with the operator under its contract and its insurance. If something goes wrong on a trip, we will help you reach the operator and work through the issue, but the operating relationship is between you and that operator. These terms may be updated from time to time, and the version in effect when you request a quote applies to that request.
